This curriculum provides everything that an adult working with a child with an autism spectrum disorder would need to ensure a thorough and appropriate ABA program for the young learner.. The Curriculum section provides the lesson plans for the skills which need to be developed, and the Mastered section is a tool for checking that learnt skills are being retained over time. The Assessment section records the child's initial level of learning and then tracks their progress over time. It gives adults a clear outline on what to teach and how to teach it, in order to ensure children are reaching developmental goals at this crucial stage. The targeted skills are developmentally appropriate and allow one to easily monitor a child's progress. I wholeheartedly believe in Lindsay Hilsen's curriculums and would recommend them for any child that can benefit from ABA therapy. The book description "gives adults a clear outline on what to teach and how to teach it" is very misleading as there is very little instruction and most instruction between one programme and the next is repetitive. Find it hard to understand who this book is aimed at. A parent with out prior knowledge would be left with too many questions and a pr. Terrible book- not worth the money Doesn't even deserve a star. I don't believe this guide delivers clear instructions on using ABA at all. If anything, it allows a place to record your work and the child's progress, but if you need a more comprehensive tool, look elsewhere. This may work in conjunction with a more detailed ABA guide, but for the price, it's not efficient as a supplementary piece.
