Great Story Behind the Scenes Other than occasionally watching the Gaither Homecoming series, I haven't been into Gospel music as much as when I was younger.Recently I've been re-discovering it. I happened to read Henry Slaughter's regular column on mybestyears.com. Then I ordered his book, In Search of the Pearl of Great Price: The Unforgettable Autobiography of Henry Slaughter.One of the next steps after ordering The Gatlin Brothers Come Home Gaither Gospel Series andBill & Glor. "Too little meat" according to Joan mecham. I liked reading about how his life went up, then down, then up again. I would have liked more details in his Decline. Was it the drugs and he was just a naive player. What about his brothers? Do they do the same things. Too much was left out. Just a skim over.
