"One and a half thums up." according to M. E. Ward. This would be a great book for the beginning/intermediate student. It has a good written overview of what makes the blues style and important musicians that helped shape it. The song tracks take you through seven different grooves/styles with good warm-up excercises. Unfortunately they didn't include recordings for each exercise. Had they done that I would have given this method book 5 . "Good book" according to Marcus George. This is a much needed book on a often neglected subject, the blues for drums, The book is not to long and the exersises are concise and progresive ultimatly making you a better drummer in any idiom.
