I had been anxious to read it after I read Execution Style which is the previous book in this series. You do not need to read that book in order to read this one. Foster lost part of his leg from circumstances that occurred in Execution Style and he has some serious anger regarding it. Blake comes along with her beauty and humor and slowly she is able to pierce the armor surrounding Foster. This enables him to. "My favorite Spurlock" according to Miss Kay. This has been my favorite of the series thus far.Foster was a favorite of mine from the beginning and watching how he deals with the change to his body after losing part of his leg is really interesting. And the author did her homework when it came to prosthetics, which I appreciate.Blake is our female lead and she is by far my favorite female character of the series. She's funny and tough.
