Margret Valdimarsdottir said A really good tutorial. I use this book in my Crime-mapping class, a course I teach at John Jay College. The tutorial has a really good step by step instructions that students find helpful. ESRI is also helpful to teachers, for example supplying them with a special teachers disc which has slides (although I prefer to make my own)and some assignment tools.. Missing steps and additional information. Ashley Plex This book is so confusing. It does NOT give you full steps on how to work the system. You have to google the additional steps to create certain maps or ask someone how to do it. The book is NOT helpful at all! I literally taught Myself everything with the help of others and google as this book was pointless. If you are taking a GIS course, skip thi. misty d. said Great book, CD was present although as warned it. Great book, CD was present although as warned it is scratched which was to be acceptable given the disclosure. Shipping time was quick and reliable.
