But when the mysterious senator reappears on the scene, I'm desperate enough to take whatever help I can get, even if it is from Cormac. Worst case? I lose them all.*Warning* This book contains profanity, violence and sexual content.. It's very hard to work with some one who tried to murder me. Dealing with him is nothing compared to losing a few hundred lives and that's the best case scenario
"It's a Keeper" according to Joanne Solis-Keus. I enjoyed the storyline so much I had to get the rest of the series. "Irritating" according to Avarren. I had to force myself to finish this book. Ms. Augustine has created a fascinating world, but I have trouble reading anything when I can't stand the protagonist. For a woman who is supposed to be headed towards medical school, Jo is shockingly stubborn, stupid, and childish. She adamantly clings to her ignorance, petty little resentments and concerns, and self-destructive demands for "independence" as though she wer. Not quite there The story line is ok but the two main charters are a bit much. The story never leads to an end it makes the reader feel there is something missing but you can't quite put your finger on it.
