DESCRIPTION:

A comprehensive set of MATLAB programs and functions support both parts of the book and are available for download from the CRC Press Web site.. One must also:Ö Understand radar operations and design philosophyÖ Know how to select the radar parameters to meet the design requirementsÖ Be able to perform detailed trade-off analysis in the context of radar sizing, modes of operation, frequency selection, waveforms, and signal processingÖ Develop loss and error budgets associated with the design MATLAB Simulations for Radar Systems Design teaches all of this and provides the M-files and hands-on simulation experience needed to design and analyze radar systems. Simulation is integral to the successful design of modern radar systems, and there is arguably no better software for this purpose than MATLAB. Part I forms a comprehensive description of radar systems, their analysis, and the design process. The authors' unique approach involves a design case study introduced in Chapter 1 and followed throughout the text. As the treatment progresses, the complexity increases and the case study requirements are adjusted accordingly. Part II presents a series of chapters-some authored by other experts in the field-on specialized radar topics important to a full understanding of radar systems design and analysis. But software and

Covers a wide range of radar topics Very good analytic and predictive material throughout, covering a wide range of radar science. There is excellant simulation of tracking techniques, but tracking is the only topic with true simulation.Much of this book covers the same material as the authors' "Radar Systems Analysys and Design Using Matalb". I would recommend this book instead of (but not in addition to) that one.The Matlab code is freely available. Ed said Great Reference. I found this book to be a great reference. The mfiles associated with this text are indeed helpful. It parallels the author's other text, Radar Systems Analysis and Design Using MATLAB. I would recommend that you not buy both textbooks. As they are about 95% the same, just the ordering of the chatpers differs.. Best Book I have come across for Radars Through the semester I was struggling with "Radar Principles by Peyton Z. Peebles" and it was only towards the end of my semester, I got to know about this book by Mahafza. I ordered this book via Inter-Library Loan (ILL) not expecting all that much from it. Boy!!! was I in for a surprise I wouldn't be doing justice if I simply said this book is awesome. This book became such a hot property, that I had to be forcef
