fragile pop ups My daughter was fascinated with dinosaurs and chose this book herself. It has beautiful illustrations and fabulous pop-ups. It also has a lot of dinosaur facts on every page and pictures many different dinosaurs (chasmosaurus, xenotarsosaurus). The pop-ups however, are very fragile - one ripped away from the book the very first day (she was 3 1/2 at the time and a careful child).. "High-interest dino book" according to Sue Stuever Battel. I must have read this book a thousand times to my oldest child and now my younger ones love it, too. It has nice pictures of dinosaurs with a simple, but interesting paragraph about each one. It shows how tall a person would be compared to each dino. The pop-ups are fun to look at and touch, and pretty sturdy as pop-ups go. Each is different. Parasaurolophus seems to run across the page, while T. rex comes at you. Great pictures but extremely fragile pop ups Polar Bear This book has fantastic pictures of a wide variety of dinosaurs and my son absolutely loves it! The main drawback, however, is the pop-ups are extremely fragile. My son is very curious about the pop-ups, but when he tries to move the tails, teeth, or other features of the dinosaurs, they easily come apart and rip off the page. It says the age range is 4 to 8, but I think it would be more appropriate for an older
