In fact, I would not recommend it if you are just trying to learn motor-drive theory, as there are other shorter and simpler books,e.g. Professor Krause's book, that does a great job explaining the subject with sufficient simulation and practical examples to give you a clear understanding about the motor-d. "detailled information" according to A Customer. this book isnt easy to read. the illustration could be better. but on the other hand it is full of very detailed information about control of various electrical maschines (with sensors, sensorless and DTC). it gives a complete introduction to the space vector theory. a short review of different electrical maschines is also present. a basic understand .
