This is not for beginners Jessie Hill There is only one other review, and in it she states that her husband is a good guitar player. Well I am not. I am still learning and what helps me is when instructional books break down the song into its different parts. And what is most helpful is when they split the guitar part from the song so that you can isolate it. This book does neither and on top of that, the guy sings EVERY song! This book is not good if you want to learn how to play the songs listed. I'm not even sure why they bothered. I wish I could return it but since it came with CDs I cannot. I do not recommend this book. At. All.. "It is not just for idiots!" according to Amazon Customer. I actually bought this book for my husband. He had another book similar to this and really liked it! He is quite good on the guitar and still found the book to be very helpful! He also liked the CD's, you can change the speed and tempo of the songs. There is a very good variety in this book!. Garret Q Seevers said Good songs, but not an idiot's guide. That said, I have enjoyed playing the songs, but i would only recommend for an intermediate guitar player.. years, and this is not an idiot's guide.
