Muddy arrangements but passable Honestly, I would think Legrand is old enough now that he would want his writing to be preserved for posterity, and surely not the muddy arrangements found in this book to be his legacy? I realize most of these songs exist in musical scores but let's face it, the average person is not going to rent a musical theater score for hundreds of dollars to recreate him, and wouldn't he want people to lea. "Not bad at all." according to Infusion. I have always enjoy listening to Michel Legrand's work. And of course, just like everyone else, I do have a few favorites. Honestly, I bought the book because of one particular song - The Windmills of Your Mind. The arrangement of the song is not what I expected and used to. There are several questionable chord progressions. However, there are a handful of very well arranged songs. Overall, I am . Comprehensive collection of grand songs W Zeltman, Jr. This volume contains the best, and best known songs of a composer who has few peers. Also included are many lesser known, but intriguing selections. The arrangements are challenging enough for a non pianist like me. I would recommend this book to anyone who can play, to not only enjoy the music, but also to gain a deeper appreciation for the genius of LeGrand.
