Not the 'original' pilates program, but good I took a chance buying a book that had no reviews, but I bought it because it was published by Readers Digest, so I figured it would be practical and well-put-together, which it definitely is. I also bought it because of the stand-up design which makes the book it's own easel - very useful during workouts. Being new to the world of Pilates, I didn't really understand what it was all about. I practiced for a few days and then took a class and caught on quicker than I would have. The book is user friendly and lets you do the exercises while glancing at the flip chart. At the end of each section is a helpful visual summary. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to begin Pilates in the privacy. Great for Beginners!! Another reviewer said this book is geared toward beginners. I agree. I am not in great shape but my body is in better condition than it was. I've been using this program and walking my dog. Slowly the pounds are coming off and I am feeling better. I feel stronger, more flexible, and my energy has increased.
