Rob said where a man stands before he sues you. I knew Carter at Beverly Hills High School. I played sports with him as a coach. He was a self promoter. He did what he had to do to get ahead. He would position himself as your friend, and if it served him he would betray you. It doesn't surprise me that he wrote this "inspirational" story then sued the school district.. A bit long, but overall good. This was a book that I started of really liking, and it left me with an overall positive feeling. There were a lot of "feel good" moments, and some great lessons as well.The thing that made it go down hill a bit for me was that it went on longer than necessary. By the time I was about 2/3 of the way through it, I was ready to be done, even though overall it was an enjoyable read. It also had some touching parts in the last third of the book, but it took a long time to get to them.A very minor nit was that the book has two authors, but only one of them wrote any of the book. I think his story is a must read for anyone and especially those who feel they have been dealt an unfair hand. Mr. Paysinger found his sweet spot in life and persevered to achieve what God put him on earth to do.
